How many times during the week, do I need to do MI.BO. sessions? And how soon will I be able to see results?
The minimum requirement is 15 minutes of active myo-stimulation once a week followed by a 72 hour (3 days) regeneration period which would mean that you would be able to do a maximum of two sessions per week. Can MI.BO. work out cause muscular damage?
During an EMS session, no evidence of tearing muscle injury was ever produced, even in subjects that use maximum intensity. The reason is that muscle tears occur because of high exertions of the muscle at the bone joints, and especially when the contraction occurs in a traumatic brutal way, as may happen sometimes during the practice of certain sports activities. In electro-stimulation, the muscle contracts progressively, over time.
It would need at least triple that stimulation current where the risk of muscle tearing is present. The MIBO Booster is optimized to provide extremely low current during stimulation which limits the system or user the ability to cause muscle damage. The basic use of electro-stimulation consists of working on a muscle whose length does not vary when it contracts (isometric contraction). This imposes a static workout, without movement, in an intermediary position where pressures on joints are reduced to their minimum value. A workout using electro-stimulation is therefore particularly “economical” for joints, particularly if we compare it to some voluntary exercises requiring great movements and often carried out at high speed, which is very restrictive for the joints. The tendon is a fibrous elastic structure running alongside the muscle fibers enabling the solid anchoring of certain muscles on the bone structure.
Just like muscle tissue, the tendon develops in response to the request made of it. As it runs alongside the muscle, muscular contraction induces a state of tension that spreads to the tendon. The same occurs when the contraction is initiated by stimulation.
Is there are risk of burning with the MI.BO. electrodes?
The quality of the micro-impulses generated by MI.BO. stimulators enable the accumulation of electricity in the tissues and the resulting risk of burning to be avoided. Hence, even long-term or continuous applications, as is sometimes the case for some pain relief programs, present no risk of burning.
Neither has any undesirable effect ever been experienced in subjects using electro-stimulation on a daily basis for many years, as is sometimes the case for some medical indications.

Is the impulse of electro stimulation painful
No. At an early stage, when the intensity is still low, there is a tingling. With the progress of training and with increasing intensity, focus on voluntary contraction to control the impulse and to make the training 100% effective.
Post the training, depending on your myo-skeletal system status there may be a feeling of hardening of the muscles and some pain which recedes during the recovery phase of 72 hours. The feeling is comparable to that of an effort to lift something heavy in a controlled way and the effect fades as you continue the workouts.
Can it cause my legs to thicken?
The training, if done correctly, does not “make the legs thicken”. It is possible that some individuals, especially women, notice a temporary swelling in the days following training, as a consequence of a slight water retention caused by a greater supply of blood on the surface. This effect will fade as the workouts continue.
