Why should the future of our planet matter to us?

Human activities of production, consumption and disposal, such as burning fossil fuels, destroying rainforests and unsustainable landfills, that are growing to meet demand for transportation, goods and services worldwide, have an increasing influence on the climate and the Earth’s temperature. This adds huge quantities of greenhouse gases to those naturally present in the atmosphere, increasing global warming.

The impacts of climate change on different sectors of society are interrelated. We all must breathe the same air and eat food sourced from the earth. The impact of COVID-19 on the human economic sustainability has created a new awareness that there is just one planet we live on. Human health issues increase mortality, impact food availability, and limit worker productivity. Unity in action is everyone’s responsibility

We are so used to making buying decisions based on the value we attribute to items, needs and desires and not how they impact the planet and future generations. More and more objects of consumption are produced and promoted in plain sight; without reflection on how much wasteful energy was expended to reach them to everyday life.

You are the missing piece in the consumption puzzle. Your voice and actions translate into conservation of the environment and biodiversity and positively impact your health and fitness and that of your future generations.

You see, it is our business.
